‘Sighing loudly and for a long time, we mourn the fall of Japan in advance’ (長歎一聲 先弔日本, Jangtan Ilseong, Ancestral Japan) An ink painting of Ahn Jung-geun’s ‘Jangtan Ilseong, Ancestral Japan’, which is worth a national treasure, will be revealed to the public for the first time. In celebration of the 80th anniversary of liberation, Gyeonggi Province will hold a special exhibition, ‘Oriental Governor, An Jung-geun – Unification is Independence,’ highlighting An Jung-geun at the donation room of the Gyeonggi Provincial Museum from the 20th of this month to April 5th of next year.
It was returned from Japan last August.
