Group A is suspected of posting seven times to the safety reporting center between October 13th and 21st that he had installed or was planning to install explosives at Daein High School in Seo-gu, Incheon.
He continuously posted threats and also left mocking comments such as, “You will never be able to catch me. I bypassed the VPN (virtual private network) 5 times, so I can’t do anything.”
At the time, Daein High School had about 500 students leave school several times, and police and fire authorities strengthened search and patrol.
As a result of the investigation, it was revealed that Group A posted threats to the community in September and October last year, saying that he had installed explosives at middle and high schools and railway stations in Gwangju, Gyeonggi Province and Asan, South Chungcheong Province.
The prosecution, which took over the case from the police, found that, excluding one case of duplicate crime, A had posted threats 13 times.
According to the prosecution, Mr. A committed the crime for the purpose of closing school and having fun, and posted a threatening message using someone else’s name.
