(27, Midtjylland) pledged to work hard as a member of the national team ahead of the 2026 FIFA North, Central and American World Cup, saying that the popularity of Korean soccer does not seem to be as good as in previous years.

Cho Kyu-seong said through the YouTube channel ‘Stam’ released on the 16th, “I came to Korea for the first time in a long time last month, and I was surprised. The last time I came, I never remember the stadium being so empty, regardless of where the game was played, whether in Seoul or Daejeon.”

He said, “Originally, when we play in Seoul, it is always packed with more than 65,000 spectators, but this time, when I saw that there were about 30,000 people, I was a little surprised because I thought the popularity of (Korean soccer) had definitely cooled down.”

He said, “Anyway, we (as players) have to do well.”
