On the 19th, Fitch raised Italy’s credit rating from ‘BBB’ to ‘BBB+’. The outlook was given ‘stable’. This is the first positive rating adjustment in four years since the rating was upgraded from ‘BBB-’ to ‘BBB’ in December 2021. Standard & Poor’s (S&P) also raised Italy’s credit rating from ‘BBB’ to ‘BBB+’ in April. This was the first upward adjustment in 8 years since the rating adjustment in 2017.

National debt also reduced by 20% in 5 years.

Fiscal deficit also reduced by 6%
