Google unveils agent framework that uses tools considering computing budget

The researchers used two techniques, ‘Budget Tracker’ and ‘BATS Budget Aware Test-time Scaling’. They are designed to enable agents to explicitly recognize remaining inference tokens and number of tool calls, allowing them to make more efficient decisions and actions within limited resources.
