The Metropolitan Transportation Committee of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport announced on the 15th that it will launch ‘Everyone’s Card’ to dramatically reduce the burden of transportation costs on public transportation users.

Currently, the K-Pass is a public transportation discount card. K-Pass is a transportation card that allows you to receive a refund of a certain percentage (20-53.3%) of the amount spent if you use public transportation (city bus, subway, metropolitan bus, GTX) more than 15 times a month. The general public receives a 20% refund.

However, with the new ‘Everyone’s Card’, if you spend more than the standard monthly amount on public transportation, you can get all the excess amount back. There is a regular type and a plus type.

If you are issued a general model in a region such as Busan, if you spend more than 55,000 won on public transportation, you will receive a refund of the entire amount.

For example, let’s say that Mr. A in Busan spent 110,000 won by using only the city bus and subway to commute to work in Busan. Then, Mr. A will receive a full refund of 55,000 won, which is the amount exceeding the refund standard amount of 55,000 won.
