According to the ‘2024 Multicultural Population Dynamics Statistics Results’ announced by the National Data Agency on the 6th, the number of multicultural babies born last year was 13,416, a 10.4% increase from a year ago. This is the first time since 2012 that the number of multicultural births has increased.
Accordingly, the proportion of multicultural births among all births (238,317) was 5.6%, up 0.3 percentage points from the previous year. It is said that the 25th consecutive year of growth will be the highest ever.
