Upon hearing the news of Captain Cho’s illness, residents and management office staff launched a fund-raising campaign to help cover treatment and living expenses.
A fundraising notice posted throughout the apartment said, “Security leader Jo Kang-woo, who faithfully maintained the safety of the apartment, is unfortunately suffering from cancer after being diagnosed with terminal colon cancer and retiring,” and added, “The entire family is experiencing difficulties due to the sudden illness and is feeling a great burden from treatment and living expenses.”
He then appealed for participation, saying, “We are starting a fund-raising campaign to express our gratitude to Captain Cho and provide even a small amount of strength to help him overcome this difficult illness.
