The police booked Park Na-rae, a broadcaster, and began an investigation after allegations of ‘abuse of power’ and illegal medical procedures were raised by her former managers.

On the 8th, we received a complaint filed by Park Na-rae’s former managers. The complaint includes special injuries, defamation by publishing false information, and violation of the Information and Communications Network Act (defamation of character).

On the 3rd, the former managers also filed an application for provisional seizure of real estate owned by Park Na-rae at the Seoul Western District Court. It was reported that provisional seizure was carried out prior to filing a lawsuit for damages due to concerns about the possibility of concealment of assets.

Former managers claimed that they received workplace harassment, verbal abuse, special injuries, non-payment of progress fees, and requests for proxy prescriptions from Park Na-rae. In addition, they are complaining of damages, saying that they were asked to even go into their private areas, such as running errands for snacks, cleaning up after parties, forcing them to drink, and waiting for them 24 hours a day. In the process, the controversy spread further as suspicions were added that Park Na-rae had received illegal procedures from a so-called ‘injection aunt’ rather than a medical professional.

Therefore

On the 5th, Na-rae Park counter-filed a complaint against her former managers at the Yongsan Police Station in Seoul on charges of attempted extortion.

As both sides’ claims are conflicting and a battle over the truth continues, the police plan to begin investigating the complainant soon and begin a full-scale investigation.
