Fucking doomsday.

At our company, payday is the last day. However, since the last day of this month is Sunday, today naturally becomes payday.

But I didn’t get my paycheck today. There is no pay stub either. Normally, when I go to work in the morning, I get a statement email, and when I check my account, it’s the usual pattern to see money coming in, but there’s nothing there.

As anyone who attends JS knows well, it is no different from ‘Salary delays at JS = a sure prophecy of destruction.’ Of course, there was an uproar all morning, wondering, ‘Is this damn company finally going bankrupt?’ Normally, in cases like this, the person who acts logically should inquire with the accounting/management team, but funny enough, the head of the human resources management team was out of town in the morning. So, ‘What kind of outside work does the management team have to do?

After lunch, the head of the human resources management team hurriedly returned to the company and went around to each team to apologize and explain what he had brought upon himself.

Originally, the salary was transferred to the bank in advance the day before payday, and the statement was automatically sent in the morning and the salary was deposited into the bank account. However, the accounting staff just thought, ‘Since the last day of November is the 30th, I can do it on the 29th,’ and did nothing. And the head of the human resources management team is away in the morning due to personal matters. (First of all, I didn’t work outside the office, but I don’t mind being criticized for being away on the last day.)

I hurriedly came in and processed it, and as of this writing, my salary was in my bank account.

When I come to work on Monday, the accounting staff will likely have changed.

I spent the whole morning looking through job search sites instead of working, but there really weren’t any jobs.
