The impact of the invention of dishes on mankind.jpg

“”They say earthenware can boil water. Isn’t it awesome?

I’m saying this casually, but it’s actually an extremely correct thing to say.

Why did the invention of earthenware greatly change human culture?

It’s ‘now possible to boil water!’ Because of this one word.

If you have any doubts, just imagine eating in the kitchen without using any utensils to boil water, such as pots or kettles.

Of course, it is not 100% impossible to boil water without an earthenware pot.

However, with the invention of earthenware, boiling water became overwhelmingly easier.

And with the introduction of the ability to boil water, the diversity of our eating habits expanded overwhelmingly.

Things that were previously inedible can now be easily eaten by ‘boiling’ them, even though it takes time to cook them.

So the invention of earthenware brought about a revolutionary change in human history.

For example, if you think about clams, it is difficult to open raw clams with a stone tool.

You can roast clams over a campfire, but this is also inefficient.

However, if you boil water in an earthenware pot and boil it in it, a large amount of shellfish can become food.

The soup that comes out of it is delicious and full of nutrients.

Even if you think about animal meat, it was a time when all you could do was grill it over a campfire (of course, this was a time when there were no iron plates or grills for grilling meat).

The era in which it was possible to boil water in earthenware pots was completely different.

After explaining it, I started wanting to eat nabe. Tomorrow’s dinner is nabe!
