Seoul City and National Heritage Administration fighting over Jongmyo Shrine

Last March, UNESCO heard about the development of Jongmyo Shrine and recommended Seoul City to undergo a World Heritage Impact Assessment.

I told the National Heritage Administration to receive this and forward it to Seoul City to respond, but Seoul City said it could not respond.

The reason is simple.

I ended up not being able to read the official document from UNESCO because it was in English.

Even now, the battle of wits between the two organizations over development in front of Jongmyo Shrine continues.
