That’s Albrecht von Wallenstein

He is a man of great standing who rises from a poor nobleman to the greatest power in the German provinces.

During the 30 Years’ War, he organized an army with his own money, volunteered to be the emperor’s protector, and performed well in the war.

He was the father of modern warfare and the archenemy of Gustav II Adolf, whom Napoleon selected as one of the greatest generals.

But it sucks

Negotiating with the enemy without the emperor knowing

publicly criticized the emperor’s policies

He ignored the emperor’s orders and retreated.

Shoot the officer appointed by the emperor and chase him out.

He forced his subordinates to swear loyalty to him, not the emperor.

Ignoring other generals’ requests for help

Refusing to hand over command to the crown prince

Demands command over all other generals

He caused a rift between his subordinate officers and the emperor.

Even when the emperor calls, he does not come to the palace.

Without meeting the diplomat sent by the emperor

for plundering alliance territory.

The emperor purged him.
