According to a report by Korea Economic Daily on the 28th, YouTuber G Movie signed a lease contract with Nine One Hannam in July, paying a deposit of 7.7 billion won for one household with an exclusive area of 206 m2 (75 pyeong). Two months later, in September, a lease was established.
Nine One Hannam, which has the same housing type, had a lease transaction for 7 billion won last May. Last August, we set the record for the highest price in Korea by renting out 10 billion won for an exclusive 244㎡ (89 pyeong) unit.
Nine One Hannam was developed on the site of a foreign apartment complex at the former Yongsan U.S. military base and was completed in 2019, with Lotte Engineering & Construction in charge of construction. A&U Design Group, Korea’s top design firm, and Scott Sarver, chief designer and CEO of SMDP, a world-renowned design firm, participated in the design.
YouTuber GMovie opened YouTube in 2017 and currently has 3.89 million subscribers. The content he produced was so loved that he ranked first among Korean movie review YouTubers.
He also disclosed his earnings on another YouTube, saying, “I started with 280,000 won in total assets, and as a result of working 360 days out of 365, I ended up earning four times the annual salary of a banker in a month.” He also confessed, “On average, I earn over 100 million won a month.”
Nine One Hannam was built as a ‘gated house’ where outsiders’ access is strictly controlled from the entrance to the complex, and it is known that celebrities such as group BTS RM and Jimin, singer GD, actor Lee Jong-seok, actor Ju Ji-hoon, and musical actors Son Jun-ho and Kim So-hyun, as well as a number of corporate heads are living in Nine One Hannam.
