I went to the Kimbap Festival on Saturday.
For a child who thought that the kimbap festival would be overflowing with kimbap,
Rather, it really showed the reality that this is the hardest place to eat a single roll of kimbap.
At around 3 o’clock on Saturday, I waited for about an hour for a shuttle at Gimcheon Stadium and took it to the area near Jikjisa Temple, where the festival was being held.
Going by car didn’t seem like an option at all.
When I entered the venue and was pushed up by the crowd, I thought I would starve if I continued like this, so I stopped at a place that looked easy.
We split into groups and stood in line.
But as the line got shorter, a staff member came and counted people and said it was sold out.
Then, I went to another place, waited in line for about 20 minutes, and the staff member from before came again and said that the product was sold out.
I cursed, but there was a child next to me, so I just kept my mouth shut and went to Samgak Gimbap, where the line seemed a little shorter, and stood in line.
But the staff member who was shouting that the product was sold out came here again like the Grim Reaper.
I was screaming in my head to not come, but at least it was possible to stay here.
However, only 2 triangle kimbap can be sold per team.
After waiting in line for an hour, I finally got two triangular kimbap with tuna mayo and beef chive sauce.
The line where my wife was standing was limited to two menu items.
I bought two things: Crammy Gimbap and Mala Gimbap, which my family doesn’t even like.
In terms of price and quality, it was average compared to many noisy festivals these days.
Of course, we forced ourselves to eat Mala Gimbap, saying that we never thought we would pay for it and eat it.
Should I say national rather than local? There are quite a few places here targeting franchise businesses.
Wait an hour and take the shuttle
Wait an hour and a half to eat kimbap
After waiting for another hour and a half and taking the shuttle down, it was very green onion kimchi.
With a crowd of 150,000, I think it’s inevitable that it will be crowded. The civil servants there also looked like they were having a really hard time.
It’s a structural problem, but the venue where the Kimbap Festival is held itself requires a long walk through a narrow two-lane road.
No matter what measures are put in place, there is no solution if this many people are crowded.
And the line movement for the local kimbap zone definitely needs to be improved.
(queue) l bin l (booth)
(queue) l row l (booth)
(queue) l to l (booth)
In this way, people passing by and people waiting for the ride mixed together to form a hell party.
Anyway, I’ve been here often.
Don’t bother coming during the festival.
I thought it would be much better to pack something to eat later and come when it was quiet.
