
The main ingredients are cinnamon, ginger and sugar.
Ginger was expensive, but it was still an ingredient that could be mixed internally.
Cinnamon and sugar are not available on the Korean peninsula, so they have to be 100% imported from overseas, so it is a drink that was the ultimate luxury that even the most wealthy people occasionally taste.
Fortunately, cinnamon is often used as an herbal medicine and is produced in China, so there was a small amount of cinnamon imported.
Since sugar is really bad, I replaced it with honey or grain syrup.
Even that was expensive.
Surprisingly, it has a long history and is said to date back to the Goryeo Dynasty.
