Relationship between regular wage and parental leave

This time, while looking at an acquaintance’s salary statement, I found out that regular wages do not include night work allowances and overtime allowances.

Therefore, when applying for childcare leave benefits, night workers suffer losses in calculating total wages compared to day workers.

for example,

Weekly basic salary 200 + fixed allowance (meals, etc.) 50 = 250

Basic night pay 150 + fixed allowance 50 + night work allowance 50 = 250

In other words, daytime workers can receive 100% of parental leave pay, up to 250%, but

Night workers are only recognized as 2 million minus the night work allowance, so they do not receive 100% of the maximum amount for the first month.

Some companies make the base pay the same during the day and night so that night workers receive more, but there are many companies that secretly adjust the base pay for night work in this way.

The problem is that paying more at night is because they believe that working all night is physically and mentally difficult and dangerous. Doesn’t that make it meaningless?

Above all, night workers are likely to be relatively deprived of parental leave opportunities or have limited options.
