Obama “80%of the world problems, blame for old powers who do not withdraw”

Former US President Barack Obama criticized the elderly leaders at a global leadership event in London. “80%of the world’s problems are because of the old powers who do not want to let go of power.”

Obama said, “They are afraid of death and meaninglessness, and they are trying to stay in place.” His argument is that new ideas can come from political and society as a whole only when generational change is made.

The remarks were actually interpreted as targeting older politicians such as Donald Trump. In addition to the United States, leaders in their 70s and 80s still have power in Europe and Asia.
