The police launched an investigation after suspicions were raised that a female entertainment bar owner sexually assaulted a male businessman who was a customer by giving him a drink laced with sleeping pills.
According to the Wonmi Police Station in Bucheon, Gyeonggi Province, on the 8th, Mr. A, a male businessman in his 50s, filed a complaint against Mr. B, a female owner of an entertainment bar in her 50s, on December 5 last year on charges of using a camera to film the incident under the Special Act on the Punishment of Rape and Injuries and Sexual Violence Crimes.
According to the complaint, Mr. A claimed that he lost consciousness after drinking a drink containing sleeping pills at an entertainment bar in Bucheon run by Mr. B at around 11:40 p.m. on November 27 last year, and when he woke up, he was naked.
Mr. A reported it to the police on the same day and later submitted an additional complaint alleging that Mr. B had filmed a specific part of his body with his cell phone.
In response to this, Mr. B said in a recent police investigation, “The drinking party with Mr. A continued for a long time and he continued to harass me, so to avoid me, he made me drink a drink mixed with sleeping pills. I was in a relationship with Mr. A in the past, and at the time, we had consensual sexual intercourse.” He denied the charges.
The police collected the drink provided by Mr. B and requested the National Institute of Forensic Science to analyze its ingredients, and digital forensic work on Mr. B’s cell phone is also in progress. A police official said, “Based on the results of the analysis, we plan to decide whether to apply charges and whether to transfer the case.”
