Reaction from the original production team during the production of Old Boy

One day, I received a call from Korea saying they wanted to make Old Boy into a movie.

Why do the editorial department and the original writers produce comics that don’t sell like this? It’s OK to be cool and do whatever you want

However, after receiving permission, communication from Korea was cut off.

Because it wasn’t the movie version they had originally hoped for, the editing department forgot its very existence.

Then one day I saw a newspaper article

Is that movie finished? But it’s the #1 box office hit in Korea??

I urgently requested the Korean side to send me a video, but perhaps there was some problem and the video did not arrive.

I went to the company responsible for distributing it in Japan, but was told that they had not received the video yet (!!).

As time passed, the video was finally delivered the day before the preview.

The editor said there was no need to watch it because the preview was tomorrow, but the original writer watched the video without subtitles out of curiosity, and as soon as he finished watching the movie, he called the editor in charge and yelled at him.

“I have no idea what the lines say, but this could be an amazing movie!!”
