There is a domestic private space company called Periphery Aerospace.

We are currently developing a launch vehicle called Blue Whale 1, which uses a methane engine, and are currently pursuing launch.

(Uses the same fuel-CH4 as SpaceX Starship)

This company owns an offshore launch site called Cetacea 1 in the sea off Jeju Island.

The space launch vehicle under development here was scheduled to be launched in the first quarter of next year.

however..

I was stranded today after being swept away by a strong wind on Jeju Island, where a storm warning was issued ㅜㅠ

Fortunately, there were no casualties, and the launch site was said to have deviated from its original location and washed up on the shore.

Recovery work is currently underway and plans are underway to move the launch site back to its original location.
