Actually, this is my first time giving a speech. As a professional gamer, just 3 weeks ago, I gave a game in front of tens of thousands of people, but this many people.
Standing in front of the field again made me nervous and I think I was the most nervous I’ve ever been in my life.
It’s really surprising that I’m here today, and in fact, I never imagined I’d be in a place like this even when I was working on professional games.
I guess I was really lucky. Why am I like this if I’m lucky? I played games and had a job called a professional gamer 20 years ago.
Even though I did it, I got rid of it. But I don’t have that kind of foundation, I don’t even know if I’m hired directly, but I have a job like that and I can give speeches like this.
I don’t know how amazing and thankful this is. So I want to say thank you very much.

I was preparing for the keynote speech today, and since it was my first time hearing the word ‘keynote speech’, I was wondering if I should give it a try, but it was so fun that I brought it.
“A keynote speech is a speech in which an important person explains the basic purpose or policy direction at a National Assembly convention, academic conference, etc.”
However, since I am not here at the National Assembly, nor at the national convention, nor at the academic society, it is not appropriate to give a basic speech on cost.
Because I wanted to do everything, I decided to just give a speech and just talk about it. (laugh)
To the young people today, I hope that the story I tell will provide some inspiration to the young people and think about it on your way home today.
I started today thinking that I would be able to speak successfully if I had a chance to see it.
I was born in 1996. I have been very familiar with digital devices since the day I was born.
So, what I remember is almost all the games I played since I was 4 or 5 years old.
From then on, I started playing games by plugging in packs, and from then on, I feel like I’ve finally found something I like to do.
From then on, I realized that playing games was too boring and I thought, ‘I want to continue like this for a day.’
It hasn’t been long since we moved from playing games with computer game packs to playing computer games.
I’ve been playing computer games since I was almost 8 years old, and if you look at the monitor ratio back then, everything is like this now.
I’ve been playing games since I was young, and I feel like my generation is really close to digital culture, so I feel like I’m a bit obsessed with everyday life.

So, I started playing games from then on, and I became a professional gamer when I was 18 years old. At that time, I quit going to school and risked everything to become a professional gamer.

I decided to become a professional gamer with the mindset of taking on the challenge and thinking, ‘I’ll just do it for 1-2 years and if it doesn’t work out, I’ll just try something else.’
I’ve been a pro gamer for 12 years now, and I never thought I’d be doing it this long, and at first I had that spirit of challenge.

I played in 2013 and won the (League of Legends) World Championship in 13, 15, and 16.

I have a strong winning record, so when I first lose a game, I get very angry. After losing the game, people do it and to a certain extent, I get angry.

Because my hands hurt, I hit a soft sofa and when I lose the game, I say, ‘Oh, I’m in nirvana.’ I have that much competitive spirit, but I keep getting rid of it.
As I was doing it, I realized that such a competitive spirit does not always lead to victory.
So from then on, I studied a lot about my mind, and when I decided to do something, I continued to cut down on this competitive spirit and discipline.
I think I’m going to worry a lot about whether I can make some progress.
While I’m a professional gamer, I don’t have the reputation of being quiet and quiet to people around me, so it’s okay to talk about how I feel in front of people.
It’s become difficult and expensive, and now I don’t even talk to my teammates about things other than the game, but as a professional gamer, I’m like that.
I’ve grown a lot since then, and as I continue to grow as an actor, I think I’ve been spending time getting to know myself.

So, I think one of the biggest things I learned while working as a professional gamer was about failure.
I just always had to win, and now I’m in the professional world where I have to always be first compared to others.
So, of course, I only think, ‘Winning is my job, failure is my job, and failure is my job’.
I think I’ve learned a lot, especially since the last 2-3 years ago. Failure – just the word failure itself is very negative.
But when I think about it, I think I was able to grow and do better from that failure.
Rather, I feel that I am in my prime right now, and in 23 and 24, I won the championship 3 weeks ago this year, but the foundation for that was failure.
I don’t think I would have been able to do it if I thought about it. So now, I think that each and every one of those failures has gathered together to create something for them.
I think it’s a small success. There is a saying that failure is the mother of success. But more than that, failure is actually a part of success.
I think. So, even if I lose a game, I think, ‘This is a small success.’ That’s what I have.

I think that passion begins with not being truly afraid of being bitten.
So I really want to tell you this. At first, I was very afraid of failure, but in a way, I didn’t show it with my sword.
But there are no people like that, but for now, I’m just enjoying the process (as above). The lifespan of a professional gamer is actually very short. I played for 12 years.
Well, I’m a bit of a weird person (laughter) and I only last 6 to 7 years on average, but I think it’s possible because I don’t have that fear.
