Busan Haeundae Police Station announced on the 18th that it had booked middle school student A without detention on charges of using a camera to film under the Sexual Violence Punishment Act.

Person A is accused of illegally filming the body of a female Internet broadcaster at BEXCO, Haeundae-gu, around 1:30 pm on the 16th.

Group A followed the victim from inside BEXCO until he went outside and illegally filmed him.

Group A’s crime was discovered when a citizen passing by witnessed the scene and reported it to the police.

After confirming the identity of Mr. A, the police handed him over to his parents and allowed him to accompany them at will, considering that he was a student.

Group A does not fall under the category of a minor under the criminal law, so he will receive the same level of criminal punishment as an ordinary adult.
