A rare scene has been captured in Antarctica where Adelipenguins escape their herd habitat and raid the nest of Antarctic thieving gulls. The Adelipenguins in the video also stepped on the eggs of a seagull and set them off.It is common to see Antarctic thieving gulls hunting the eggs and young of Adelipenguins. However, it is unusual for an Adelipenguin to attack the Antarctic Thief Seagull’s nest. This is because penguins do not eat eggs or young of other birds.
Moreover, the attack took place about 17 kilometers from the collective habitat of Adelipenguins.
