It is said that a large emergency exit sign was created using the arrow in the FedEx logo to prevent a repeat of a stampede like the Itaewon disaster that occurred a few years ago.

Even though venues such as stadiums and concert halls have a lot of entrances and exits, when people panic, they tend to only move through one aisle, causing a stampede. To prevent this phenomenon, large luminous arrows that are tens of times larger and more visible than existing emergency exit signs are used to disperse people into multiple passages and prevent them from congregating in one place.

I always thought FedEx was just a regular delivery company, but this was my first time learning that they do such cool things. I hope it is installed in more places so that heartbreaking accidents never occur again.
