A loner who has been reclusive for 10 years appeared on ‘Ask Me a Question’.

In the 289th episode of KBS JOY’s ‘Ask Me Anything’, which airs at 8:30 pm today (28th), a story about a person in his 30s who lived a reclusive loner life for 10 years due to a mental illness that developed while studying will appear.

The story is that in middle school, he was first in his class and graduated second in his class, and went to high school in another area to attend Seoul National University.

When I was in my 3rd year of middle school, I started hearing the sound of pen drums being played in class like I was hallucinating, which led me to fail my exams. In my first mock exam after entering high school, my friends were shaking their legs so badly that I failed the exams and received a 4th grade report card. He recalls being shocked. He explains that he was later diagnosed with obsessive-compulsive disorder, anxiety disorder, trauma, depression, and social phobia and is currently receiving treatment.

After that, I completely gave up on my studies, and after visiting the hospital for the first time in my third year of high school, I did not even apply for the CSAT and entered a junior college as a transfer student out of greed for a prestigious university.

However, I remembered that my legs were shaking again, so I stayed in the dormitory and only played games, so I received an academic warning and even dropped out.

To the storyteller who could not give up his desire for a prestigious university even after giving up his studies, Seo Jang-hoon pointed out that this was “contradictory behavior” and analyzed it by saying, “I think he has his own fears.”

Nevertheless, even though the storyteller was eligible for military exemption, he forced himself to enlist because he thought it would leave a stain on his life. Even though he took medication and cried, he somehow held on and was discharged from the military.

The storyteller lived a secluded life in a gosiwon for the next 10 years, relying on pocket money and loans given by his parents. However, when it was explained that the storyteller’s parents were completely unaware of his condition after becoming an adult, Seo Jang-hoon and Lee Soo-geun gave the storyteller some harsh advice, saying, “Symptoms do not come selectively,” and “Don’t hide behind your illness.”

The story of the person who tried to lead a normal life after becoming an adult but could not easily adapt can be seen in episode 289 of ‘Ask Anything’ at 8:30 pm today (28th).
