Q. What happened to the arm movements shown in Mission: Impossible?
Did the script even say “reload arms”?
A. No, it was a scene that was not in the script.
We filmed in the same space for three weeks to film that scene.
After doing the same actions all day, my biceps started to feel numb and sore.
Before throwing a punch, I literally did that motion unconsciously to ‘warm up’.
After the cut, I saw
“I must have looked really stupid. Why did I do that?”
I thought:
So I asked the director to film again without that movement.
The director rather
“Why did you remove that move? It was really good.”
He said.
