When looking at the reasons for disciplinary action, it was found that there was a serious case of moral insensitivity due to receiving travel expenses by submitting false evidence or sexual harassment.
According to data received from the National Agricultural Cooperative Federation, a total of 10 executives and employees have been disciplined by the National Agricultural Cooperative Federation this year as of last month.
This figure already exceeds 9 in 2022 and 7 last year.
Seven out of 10 executives and employees who were disciplined this year were found to have received unfair travel expenses by submitting canceled train tickets as evidence.
They were found to have committed this act from 2019 to May of last year.
It was found that some even submitted false accommodation data as proof.
They explained that they “lacked knowledge of the regulations” for receiving travel expenses by submitting false evidence, but considering that their service period was about 10 years, the Nonghyup Personnel Committee deemed the explanation insufficient and suspended them, respectively. Dispositions such as pay cuts and reprimands were imposed.
It is known that the other two people used the budget of 25 million won differently from what was written in the payment meeting, and 14 million won of this was used for items that were difficult to prove, such as restricted industries.
However, they previously received commendations, and the level of disciplinary action was reduced to a reprimand.
The other person committed inappropriate behavior by hitting a low-level employee working in the same department on the buttocks with a long umbrella in December of last year, and the personnel committee judged this to be sexual harassment and sentenced him to a three-month pay cut in January.
Rep. Kim pointed out, “Disciplinary measures for executives and employees of the National Association of National Agricultural Cooperatives, which represent the National Agricultural Cooperatives, are repeated every year, so thorough measures are required.” He added, “We need to prevent the same problem from recurring through strengthening related education and strong punishment.”
