Grigory Bulatov was awarded the title Hero of the Soviet Union (Герой Советского Союза) to his revered colleagues.
He was also arrested for ‘denigrating the value of federal heroes and saying very subversive words to the system.’
It is said that he has been released several times because high-ranking people contacted him or wrote petitions.
