The Japan Football Association (JFA) has prepared charter flights for players whose schedules to return home are tight for the final qualifiers for this World Cup. After finishing their team’s league game, the players gathered in Belgium and returned home late at night on the 2nd on a direct charter flight to Haneda. Among the 11 players, Doanman was the only one who could not use a charter flight due to the cancellation of his flight to Belgium, but he returned home on the morning of the 3rd and joined practice.
There are 19 overseas players called up by Japan. It is said that they all gathered together in Liège, Belgium, and then came to Japan on a chartered plane. Doan and Ritzman came separately because their schedules did not match.
