When it comes to TV, price, screen size, and resolution aren’t everything.
After-sales service and built-in software are important.
Not all smart TVs that have Android inside are the same.
Android TVOS is simply the original operating system provided by Google as a reference, and each manufacturer custom-builds it and inserts it into the TV. This is where the differences in capabilities between manufacturers are evident. Kernels made by Sony or other large companies may be fine, but low-cost companies usually make little investment in software.
And within a few years of purchasing the TV, support for the Android version was discontinued. In other words, the latest apps are no longer supported, and apps such as Netflix and Wave can no longer be used.
Above all, it has poor compatibility with domestic IPTV and other equipment.
For example, a soundbar.A function called HDMI-CEC is supported on the surface, but something is missing and it does not work properly. This way, the sound bar will turn on when you turn on the TV with one remote control, the sound bar will turn off when you turn off the TV, and the volume control will be linked to one remote control, but this doesn’t work, so you have to use two separate remote controls.
Also, if some terrestrial channels send sound using a different protocol, the sound comes out very quietly from the sound bar. Samsung and LG TVs capture all of these features and adjust the volume level automatically, so there is no need for the user to change them, but foreign TVs do not have such a feature, so you have to manually turn up the volume to a high volume every time you change channels.
There are a lot of minor inconveniences like this, but there are many people who just look at the price and end up paying for it.
You should never buy a real Chinese TV. There is a reason why they say domestic products are good.
