The Korean women’s U-15 national team will participate in the U-15 Women’s Championship hosted by the East Asian Football Confederation (EAFF).

The 2024 EAFF U-15 Women’s Championship will be held in Dalian, China from August 14th to 26th. All 10 member countries of EAFF, including Korea, Japan, North Korea, China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Guam, Mongolia, Macau, and the Northern Mariana Islands, are participating. This competition was previously held every two years under the name of the ‘U-15 Women’s Soccer Festival’.

Participating countries will be organized into Group A, with the five highest-ranking teams in Group A and the five lowest-ranking teams in Group B, according to the FIFA women’s soccer rankings, and play four group matches per team. The winning team will not be determined separately, but a promotion and relegation system will be applied, so the bottom ranked team from Group A will move to Group B for the next competition, and the top team from Group B will move to Group A for the next competition. Starting with its first match against Taiwan on the 16th, Korea will face Japan on the 18th, North Korea on the 20th, and China on the 25th.

This time, the women’s U-15 national team will be coached by Lee Da-young, a former coach of the Korea Football Association. Here, former coaches Lee Min-young (field) and Moon So-ri (GK) join as coaches.

The team is scheduled to gather in Goyang, Gyeonggi-do for two days starting on the 12th to train and then depart for China on the 14th.
