First Korean player to die after being hit by a ball

If you are a baseball fan, you probably know almost everything (the photo above is a newspaper photo)

I think there are people who don’t know

Incident Description:

It was a Seoul high school baseball league game around July 1955.

At the time, it was Seonlin Commercial High School vs. Gyeonggi High School. During the game, Seonlin Commercial High School player Choi Woon-sik was hit on the head.

Of course, the speed for a tight ball is at least 135km, so of course his body was not normal, but the coach saw Choi Woon-sik get up again and told him to continue.

However, his body was not normal, and Choi Un-sik collapsed again and was taken to the hospital.

He suffered a cerebral hemorrhage and died the next day.

In fact, if only there had been quick first aid, he could have survived even though he suffered serious injuries. Due to this incident, the baseball team at the school (Gyeonggi High School) at the time was disbanded (it still exists today).

I’m going to post a lot about things like this and death row inmates.
