Dry ice shortage in Japan accelerates due to electric vehicles

Japan’s Baskin has now suspended takeout until mid-August due to a dry ice shortage.

Dry ice is a by-product of petroleum refining, but with the popularity of electric vehicles, the amount of petroleum refining has decreased, leading to a shortage of raw materials 10 years ago.
