The worst disease is an allergy to water.

()

Aquagenic urticaria aka water allergy

It is an extremely rare disease with an incidence rate of 1 in 100 million people. Currently, about 30 people around the world are suffering from this rare allergy.

As the name suggests, it is a disease that causes an allergic reaction to moisture, which is essential for all living things, including humans. If you suffer from this disease, you will have an allergic reaction not only to regular tap water or rain, but also to your own body fluids such as sweat and tears.

Therefore, people with water-based allergies should be careful about sweating or shedding tears on a regular basis and should reduce the number of times they go to the bathroom as much as possible. If the symptoms are not severe, it will just be a rash on the skin, but if you make a mistake and go into shock, you could die from your own sweat or tears.

It’s sad to have this disease, but since you can’t cry as much as you want, there’s literally no worse disease.

When water-based allergy patients have no choice but to take a shower, they must take antihistamines and the shower must last within 2 to 3 minutes. There are times when you shower while wearing thin clothes.

Contact with water is not the only problem. Drinking water is also a huge ordeal for these people. Drinking just one sip of water causes an allergic reaction throughout the body, causing arrhythmia, breathing difficulties, and seizures. Because of this, they only drink very small amounts of water, and when they drink, they drink it through a straw and into other parts of the body. Be careful not to close it.

The mechanism by which this terrible disease, which literally degrades the quality of life, is not yet known, and because it is such a rare disease, there is little research data. Currently, the most likely hypothesis is that it is an immune disease caused by a congenital genetic defect. As it is a congenital genetic disease, it cannot be treated with modern medicine, and the best way for patients is to avoid contact with water as much as possible.

I hope that a treatment will be developed as soon as possible so that patients with all rare and incurable diseases, including water allergies, will be free from suffering.
