The moment the South Korean military almost captured Kim Il Sung

Starting with the Incheon Landing Operation around October 1950, as the U.N. forces launched a major counterattack, South Korean and U.N. forces began to move northward to North Korean soil at breakneck speed and occupy Pyongyang on Oct. 19

And on October 22nd, Kim Il Sung, in his limousine, flashes into the river

But by the way, when I reached Heicheon area in Pyeongbuk, the nearby bridge was cut off, so I couldn’t do anything

To make matters worse, when there was an anti-communist uprising in a nearby area and reports that the ROK military was gradually closing its siege, Kim Il Sung threw away a Soviet limousine gifted from Stalin on the spot and hurriedly fled to the vicinity of the enemy ghost mountain range

Shortly thereafter, the 6th Division of the Korean Armed Forces arrived in the Pyeongbuk area after receiving intelligence that Kim Il Sung was nearby

And they soon find Kim Il Sung’s limousine covered by branches

The car bonnet was still hot enough to feel the engine heat, so I could tell it was thrown away and bounced quickly

The South Korean military searched the area to catch Kim Il Sung, but unfortunately, they couldn’t catch him in the end

And the limousine was captured and sent to Seoul as spoils in lieu of Kim Il Sung

He later gave it as a gift to the wife of General Walker, a U.S. commander who died in a car accident in South Korea, and was returned to South Korea in 1982 after decades of being caught up in the U.S

And in the 1990s, the restoration process was completed with the help of Russian engineers, and now it is displayed at the Yongsan War Memorial and continues to be cooked
