– How does it feel to finish the competition?
“It’s a shame that all the players prepared well but didn’t show their skills as much as they prepared.” The players did a good job and the coach matched the players. There was a lack of captaincy. I didn’t do well because I didn’t lead the players well due to my lack of skills. Still, I’m thankful that the juniors did their best until the end. I’m done now. “It’s the last time I wear a Korean uniform.”
– What do you think should be done to make Korean baseball better in the future?
“The biggest task is for the players to shake off the burden. We did our best in the preparation process and the game.” I think the most important thing for players is to create an environment where they can enjoy without feeling the pressure that they can’t win. I was nervous and the players were nervous. “I couldn’t show my skills in the midst of nervousness, so I need to do that well.”

– If you look back on your 15 years of international experience,
“When I came to the national team as the youngest, I felt great pressure when I was young. I remember playing baseball with my seniors a lot. I’m very sorry that I couldn’t be a good senior. “I’m sorry that I can’t create an atmosphere to relax”.
– Is the national team uniform really the last?
“Every time I was selected for the national team, I felt good because my performance was good, but I felt pressured. I think there are better players than me. I have my age and young players will do well.” I think it’s time to come down. My performance has been bad twice in a row following the 2021 Tokyo Olympics. “If I couldn’t do it, wouldn’t other young players lead it well?”
Is there anything you want to say to your fans?
“Many people cheered for us and came to see us. I was disappointed that we couldn’t do it, but thank you for coming to the baseball stadium.” I don’t know. Rather than the fans, I heard a lot of comfort from seniors who appeared on the national team about the sluggishness of this tournament. But I think people who aren’t in the national team do it easily. That’s unfortunate. “I think it’s even more disappointing because I thought we were both baseball players.”
