Through Cha Du-ri, Klinsmann was mentioned as the next head coach of the Korean coach.

Klinsmann is on the rise as Paulo Bento’s successor. In response, the KFA’s committee, led by Michael Mueller, held its first meeting on online video on the 25th of last month and began a closed-door process to select the national team coach.

At the press conference, Chairman Mueller revealed his professional experience, motivation, teamwork, environmental factors, and adaptability based on the standards of Korean coaches. Earlier, various media outlets mentioned various directors, but either they did not meet the criteria or it was practically difficult to go to Korea.

The majority of the people who were named before Klinsmann’s next coach, except Klinsmann Halilhodzic, had no experience as national team coaches. Coach Benitez, who led Liverpool to the world championship in the past, has never led the national team.

According to a report by the JoongAng Ilbo on the 22nd, Klinsmann said that negotiations with the Korea Football Association are progressing considerably, and the KFA will meet in the U.S. this week for further negotiations.

So Klinsmann is from Germany, but he lives in California, USA. Klinsmann is said to be qualified as Korea’s head coach in that he has World Cup experience as a coach as well as a national team and club team coach.

The official predicted that if the meeting ends successfully, there is a high possibility that he will be appointed as the head coach of South Korea. If Klinsmann takes the helm, he will be the first German head coach to lead South Korea in six years since former German coach Uli Stielike 69.
