Video: An armed robber who broke into a U.S. restaurant…a shot-and-run customer

(1)A customer who was eating at a restaurant in the United States killed an armed robber with a gun.
(2)According to the New York Post Fox News on the 7th local time, the incident occurred at a Mexican restaurant in Houston, Texas, at around 11:30 p.m. on the 5th.
(3)CCTV footage from inside the store showed the criminal threatened customers by entering the restaurant waving what appeared to be a pistol. The criminal was wearing a black ski mask and black clothing gloves. It was found that there were 10 customers at the restaurant at the time, and the guests handed the money and wallet they had on their seats or on the floor to the criminal.

(5)When the criminal took the guests’ belongings and turned toward the exit, a customer stepped out and shot his gun while the criminal turned his back.
(6)Even after the criminal was shot and fell to the floor, this customer pulled the trigger several times. Houston police said the customer shot at least nine shots, one of which hit the criminal’s head, and left the restaurant after returning his belongings to the original owner. When the police arrived at the scene, only the restaurant owner and staff were reportedly left.

(2)Police said they did not identify the criminal and said he was believed to be in his 20s.
(3)The identity of the guest who shot the criminal was not confirmed. The police posted a photo of the guest and wanted him publicly, saying they needed a statement from him to investigate the details of the incident. Police said no charges were filed against the guest, who was described as a white or Hispanic man and reportedly owned a model pickup truck in the 1970s and 1980s.

He explained that even if the gun was fake, the threat felt at the time was real, and that everyone in the restaurant clearly believed it was a real gun. “If it’s fair to shoot the first bullet, it’s fair to keep shooting until there’s no more fatal threat,” he said.
