All 5 family members, including me, put the Korean flag sticker on their backpacks and moved. I thought it would be a plus for our safety.
I saw other foreigners, including Chinese, being checked very carefully at the border, and we were able to wait for the embassy’s vehicle without any sanctions.
Local police at the checkpoint suggested that Koreans come this way and wait first, and without much doubt because they revealed that they were Koreans!I felt like I was able to cross the border like “Free Pass!”
The construction inspector himself drove the van to help Korean residents evacuate quickly without waiting at the checkpoint.
