Japanese people Yuma Toyoda (25 years old) and Hibiki Shiba (25 years old) mysteriously disappeared in Jaipur, sparking a massive police search operation throughout the city. The couple arrived in Jaipur by taxi from Delhi on February 7 and checked into a hotel in the Brahmapuri area before heading to a restaurant in Ashok Nagar for dinner. However, CCTV footage showed the two leaving the restaurant after 5 minutes without eating, and they did not return to the waiting taxi or their lodgings. Accordingly, the taxi driver waited until dawn on February 8th and eventually reported her missing. Jaipur police are combing through CCTV footage from hotels, restaurants and surrounding streets and are contacting the Ministry of External Affairs and the families of the missing persons. In addition, we are examining various possibilities, such as the possibility that she took a wrong turn or had an accident while sightseeing, but no clues have been found so far, and concerns about this disappearance are spreading nationwide.

The incident occurred on a Saturday night, and then the taxi driver contacted us on Sunday.

Two Japanese tourists in Jaipur have been missing for three days, officials said on Tuesday.

“”The incident occurred on Saturday night, and the taxi driver contacted us on Sunday. As we could not find him for 24 hours, we filed a report on Monday night,” said Inspector Moti Lal of Ashok Nagar police station.

According to police officials, the two tourists, Yuma Toyoda, 25, and Hibiki Shiba, 25, arrived in Delhi on Friday and then came to Jaipur on Saturday.

“”They were staying at a hotel in the Bramhapuri area and took a taxi out late on Saturday night to have dinner at a nearby fast food restaurant. “But the taxi was waiting outside the restaurant and it didn’t return,” he added.

The driver went to check on them two hours later but couldn’t find them.

“”The restaurant staff informed us that they had already left. “The two tourists left their bags containing their passports and other documents in the taxi and did not return to the hotel,” he said.

Afterwards, the police checked the restaurant’s CCTV footage and found that the two tourists were seen leaving the restaurant 5 minutes after arriving. They did not eat food or meet anyone.

“”We also checked the hotel to understand the purpose of our visit. They are in India on a six-day trip and their visas are set to expire on Thursday. Additionally, their mobile phones have been switched off since Saturday. “I waited for 24 hours, but it hasn’t come back yet,” the police officer said.

He has been reported missing and police are attempting to contact the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

A police official said: “We are trying to contact the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to obtain information about other contacts and family members. “We are also checking CCTV footage from nearby areas to trace missing people,” he added.
