It was revealed that the U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC) requested confidential information related to high-bandwidth memory (HBM) from SK Hynix (000660), saying it would check whether Samsung Electronics (005930) infringed on domestic company patents. Anxiety is growing in the domestic semiconductor industry as ITC demands not only HBM design methods but also overall business confidentiality, including production capacity and cost information.
According to business and trade authorities on the 11th, the ITC cited the information disclosure agenda recently requested by US semiconductor company Netlist regarding SK Hynix.
