A fire broke out at the luxury hotel Hôtel des Grandes Alpes, located at 1850 Courchevel, Savoie, France, around 7 p.m. on the 27th local time.
It was determined that the fire started in the hotel roof and attic space. As the fire spread rapidly along the roof structure, which used a large amount of wood, great difficulties were encountered in extinguishing the fire.
There were no casualties among guests or staff, and six firefighters suffered minor injuries during the firefighting process.
