Analysis suggests that it will be as big a factor as DRAM in improving Hynix’s operating profit margin.
According to data from market research company Omdia obtained by Chosun Biz on the 20th, Samsung Electronics slightly lowered its NAND wafer production from 4.9 million last year to 4.68 million this year. This is a further reduction in production than last year due to a sharp decline in NAND profitability in 2024.
Hynix’s NAND production is also expected to show a similar trend, increasing from 1.9 million sheets last year to 1.7 million sheets this year.
