According to an announcement on the RIAA’s official website on the 15th (local time), ‘Run’ achieved the 500,000 units required to obtain gold certification as of the 11th of last month.
The RIAA grants certification by calculating a unit that combines album sales in the U.S., paid digital downloads, and audio/video streaming figures. Certifications are divided into Gold (500,000 units or more), Platinum (1 million units or more), and Diamond (10 million units or more).
‘Run’, which was released without a physical album, met the certification conditions by achieving 75 million streams, equivalent to 500,000 units.
