The most meaningful achievement for us was that Japan agreed to and cooperated with the working-level consultation on the excavation of remains at the Josei Coal Mine. Japan once again took the same stance as South Korea on North Korea-related security issues and drew our support for Korea-Japan, Korea-U.S.-Japan cooperation and the issue of Japanese abductees.
The President also said that in addition to Korea-China-Japan cooperation, AI cooperation, and joint response to scam crimes, we should also pursue economic cooperation, cultural exchange, and future-oriented values beyond the painful past between Korea and Japan.
However, just like China, Japan also cooperates but always has shady intentions, so let’s not let down our guard.
