Attack on Titan writer reveals he cannot write new series due to burnout

Attack on Titan writer Hajime Isayama revealed at a Tokyo theater event on January 9 that he no longer draws every day and is too exhausted to write another series, saying he “gave it my all” during the manga’s 11.5-year run.

　Isayama said that even if he tried to write a new work, it would simply be “cutting out one of the elements” of Attack on Titan, which was completed in 2021 after experiencing backlash from fans over its controversial ending.

　The announcement came during stage greetings on the opening day of the Dolby Cinema remastered version of Attack on Titan: Final Season: Final Attack, and voice actor Yuuki Kaji assured fans that Isayama was doing well.
