A cartoon that boasted the highest level among domestic children’s cartoons

About 20 years ago, when the children’s cartoon ‘Just Like It’s Scary’ series was at its peak, the book ‘The Devil’s Virus’ was published by the same publisher.

The main content of this book is that humanity is on the verge of extinction due to the Ebola virus.

As you can see just by looking at the cover, this book is old-fashioned in many ways, and the content itself is so difficult that children cannot easily understand it.

Even now that I think about it, I wonder how this book could be labeled as a children’s cartoon. Let’s take a look at the contents of the book:

First, the story begins with a group of medical students who came to Zaire as medical volunteers.

We were talking about things like, “I think we should be more careful around here because it’s scary, but we came here with good intentions, so let’s do our best.”

The group is killed in an attack by Zaire rebels.

Still, one person survives and runs away.

When the man reaches a certain point, the rebels are startled and run away.

Yes, that was an Ebola virus outbreak area. However, the main character does not know this, so he begins searching the village for help.

The Ebola virus looks like the devil.

Of course, viruses cannot be seen with the naked eye, but they are expressed this way for the convenience of readers.

The main character misunderstands that he was killed by rebels rather than a victim of a virus.

The man is determined to make their atrocities public.

Without knowing that they were infected with a virus.

Suddenly, blood starts pouring out from every hole in the man’s body.

The Ebola virus has broken out and organs are melting.

The reporter who was covering the story begins to flutter in front of the camera as if he has a scoop.

There is no way. He was immediately infected with the Ebola virus and his death was broadcast live in real time.

The content of this cartoon is that in this way, a deadly virus with a fatality rate of up to 100% and an almost zero incubation period spreads throughout the world.

In the end, the spread of the virus cannot be prevented, and humanity is almost wiped out.

In the end, a vaccine is eventually developed.

On the way back, the main character becomes infected and bleeds due to the virus left in the lab. He must have thought that he was wrong, so he hurriedly drove his motorcycle and got caught in a bump, causing an overturn accident and barely arrived covered in blood. When the female protagonist and her extended family appear in front of the protagonist, the protagonist holds out a syringe, saying it is serum for one person. When the female protagonist sees the protagonist’s condition, she cries and laments, asking why she brought it for you to use. When one of the extended family members runs away with the serum, the remaining family members chase after each other, saying they will survive first. The protagonist says he loves her and shows her the real serum he had hidden in front of the heroine, but the heroine gives the serum injection to her surviving granddaughter, and the protagonist and the heroine meet their ends, saying they will meet each other in the next life.

The granddaughter who received the injection wanders the streets without seeing her family members who died from the virus in the alley and ends up seeing bright sunlight.

Ironically, the virus was finally able to come to an end when humanity was virtually wiped out.

Even the ending has no dreams or hopes.
