The termination of the contract with Mr. Cho was made public through a statement sent in the name of an executive from the Asia-Pacific branch.
Deckers said, “We are aware of an unpleasant incident involving an independent distributor of the Hoka brand in Korea.”
“Although no Hokana Deckers employees were involved, we apply the same high standards to our distributors as we do at our headquarters, and as part of our zero-tolerance policy for the behavior that occurred, we have terminated our relationship with that distributor.”
‘Deckers’ added, “”We will take all necessary measures to ensure that we can continue to provide faithful service to Korean customers in the future.””
