– Donald Trump said the United States would “run” Venezuela until there was a “”proper transition””. According to him, this would involve American oil companies entering Venezuela, and they would “”start making money for the country.””

– Trump warned that the United States was ready to launch a “”much larger”” attack if necessary. He explained that a second attack was originally planned, but it was judged that a first attack would be sufficient at this point.

– General Dan Kane, the highest-ranking general in the U.S. military, spoke about the details of this raid operation. According to him, Nicolas Maduro and his wife were detained after “giving up (resistance)” and a shootout broke out in the process, but there were no casualties of Americans. U.S. troops arrived at Maduro’s residence at 2:01 a.m. local time, and two and a half hours later, Maduro and his wife were transported to a U.S. warship.

– Trump said it was unlikely that Venezuelan opposition leader Maria Corina Machado, who won last year’s Nobel Peace Prize, would become the country’s next leader because she “”lacks a base of support.”” Meanwhile, Trump claimed that Maduro’s vice president, Delcy Rodriguez, had expressed a “willingness to do what it takes to make Venezuela great again.”

– Trump also threatened Cuba and Colombia. Regarding Colombia’s left-wing president Gustavo Petro, he said, “He manufactures cocaine, so he better watch his ass.” Secretary of State Marco Rubio added that Cuba’s communist government should also be concerned. Trump said the measures were aimed at “securing stability around us” and reaffirming “American power in our region.”
